About
What is Lowbono.org?
Lowbono.org is a program of the Law School Consoritum Project. Recognizing that pro bono work can only address some of the significant legal needs of low and, increasingly, middle income communities, "Low bono" refers to the work performed by lawyers on a low fee basis - basically, meeting the client where he or she can afford.
The Law School Consortium Project (LSCP) is a national non-profit organization dedicated to increasing access to justice to low and moderate income individuals through affordable and accessible legal services.
The LSCP is comprised of an expanding group of law schools interested in designing, evaluating, and promoting programs that extend the education and professionalism missions of law schools beyond graduation to train, mentor, and provide other support to community solo and small-firm lawyers. By supporting this segment of the legal profession, the LSCP ultimately seeks to increase the availability of quality legal services for low and moderate-income individuals and communities.
